The last day of the Ratification Celebration Session, a final line dignitary arrives.
Dressed in a floor length black robe with a foot wide white ruffled collar, he was thin and hollow, round thin glasses his only other embellishment. "The Envoy of Durenmyr has been recieved by parliment." Announces the guards as the line figure walked down the hall of the great chamber.
The chamber itself was mostly empty, as many were still away or not yet recovered from the festivities.
The man spoke facing the empty soda of the Royals.
"The council of most noble bankers have met and decided on the following. "
He cleared his throat. "They have sent me here for it to be declared the official succession from the Free Kingdom and their formation as an independent Kingdom, has already begun. This notification is but a courtesy, as we are no longer under the rule of the Queen of the Free Kingdoms, not this astute body."
"Per this they have decided to finish what Edomere started and destroy the connecting bridges between the two lands.' He declared
Then after a pause, and a look around the chamber, at the mostly astonished faces "Further they will consider the present and any future blockade by Edomere or any force within the Free Kingdom as an act of aggression and a declaration of war. This it must be removed immediately!' He finished with emphasis
Again a long pause. He began slowly and even begin to over enunciate his words "Finally the 22,000 members of the Queen's army are to immediately abandon all the fortifications along Durenmyr 's eastern border and unless they wish to swear allegiance to Durenmyr leave the new plutoctacy."
"As all the bridges and overland routes are no longer available, the noble bankers of Durenmyr's counsel demands the Free Kingdom pay the following cost."
He nodded to make sure the crowns recorder was listening.
"2 crown for each enlisted
4 crown for each NCO
10 crown for each junior officer
100 crown for each senior officer."
"The Free Kingdoms must pay for safe passage to the various ports of Durenmyr."
"As well as all housing costs once the port cities are reached."
"Each ship most be given permission to make breath and each transport shall pay a 1000 crown port fee per day."
"These terms are not negotiable, as this is our lands and again I reiterate you are no longer in any position of authority."
The man then looked to the master of ceremony "This is my message the council bid me to deliver. My task is finished, am I free to leave? "
